VP MARKETING

We are looking for individuals with energy, vision and a sense of fun who can be a key member of the team and can spearhead a new and exciting internet business solution in the consumer products industry. The VP Marketing will be responsible for the management of the marketing and public relations effort of OpenShelf.com throughout the US. In addition, the VP Marketing will work closely with the Business Development and Sales team to ensure OpenShelf.com gets the right message out to our growing customer base. The VP Marketing must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Proactive and entrepreneurial, the VP Marketing will be responsible for building and managing a marketing team within OpenShelf.com.

Key Tasks:
  • Establish, roll out and build the OpenShelf.com corporate image and brand to customers, our space and the technology market.
  • Establish and manage the public relations relationship between OpenShelf.com and our PR company.
  • Develop a strategic marketing plan which covers all mediums.
  • Recruit and mentor junior staff and assist in the development of their technical and business skills.
  • Be a key player in the business development group to build and leverage the OpenShelf.com brand to establish profitable partnerships and alliances.
  • Be responsible for the significant OpenShelf.com marketing P&L.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years marketing experience in a known and respected brand building company
  • Track record of effectively working with public relations companies to deliver results preferred.
  • Understanding of web based technology a plus.
  • Experience of P&L responsibility required.

DIRECTOR SALES

We are looking for individuals with energy, vision and a sense of fun who can be a key member of the sales team for a new and exciting business solution in the consumer products industry. Key requirements are superlative verbal & presentation skills; a thorough knowledge of the CPG industry and excellent technology skills. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle primarily with the manufacturing community. You will manage named and new accounts including running the entire sales process from prospecting, identifying and qualifying opportunities to contract negotiation, agreement and post sales support. You will work with business development to identify and qualify appropriate target customers.

Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. This position will be based in San Francisco, CA and is the ideal opportunity for an aggressive Sales Director that wants to take a product from infancy to a multi-million dollar business.
